After receiving the assignment to replace Johhny Depp as Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts 3 , Mads Mikkelsen will now soon join another big project, namely Indiana Jones 5 from Lucasfilm. The Danish actor will join Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) in the film which will be directed by James Mangold (Logan). Both will compete acting with Harrison Ford who will also return to play the role of the iconic adventurer for the fifth time.

The Indiana Jones 5 project has actually been developed since 2016 by Steven Spielberg. However, this project continued to run into problems, especially because the script was unsatisfactory and even changed writers several times, such as David Koepp, Jonathan Kasdan and Dan Fogelman.

And finally last year, Steven Spielberg , who stepped down from the project as director but will remain as producer was replaced by James Mangold. Mangold will also join the new scenario with Jez and John-Henry Butterworth.
