Guy Pearce (Memento) and Monica Bellucci (The Matrix) are reported to have agreed to join Liam Neeson in an action-thriller film project called Memory . In addition, Harold Torres (ZeroZeroZero), Taj Atwal (Line of Duty) and Ray Fearon (Beauty and the Beast) has also joined the project directed byCasino Royale, Martin Campbell ‘s. The film’s story is a remake of the Belgian filmThe Memory of a Killer.
Pearce and Bellucci are each set to play FBI Agent Vincent Serra and a technology mogul named Davana Sealman. While Atwal will play Serra’s partner, Linda Amistead and Torres will play a Mexican intelligence agent named Hugo Marquez.
Memory will tell the story of a character played by Neeson named Alex Lewis, a killer who is quite skilled at his job and has a fairly classy reputation. When he refuses to finish work for a dangerous criminal organization, he suddenly becomes a target and then hunts down those who want his death. With his expertise, Alex is always one step ahead of crime syndicates and the FBI, but there’s only one problem – he’s struggling with severe memory loss problems, which affect his every move. As his memory begins to fade and his enemies draw closer, Alex must question his every move other than who he can truly trust.
Dario Scardapane (The Bridge) wrote the script for this film which is based on Jef Geeraerts’ book De Zaak Alzheimer and the Belgian film The Memory of a Killer directed by Erik Van Looy. The production process of this film started in Bulgaria some time ago.
Pearce will soon be appearing alongside Michael B. Jordan in the action film Without Remorse , and co-starring with Kate Winslet in the limited HBO series, Mare of Easttown . Meanwhile, Belucci has just appeared in the film The Man Who Sold His Skin . And he also appeared in the James Bond film with Daniel Craig in Specter .
